Got slightly more positive things to say about this episode but only slightly. The story is slowly getting more interesting. I've got no idea why they've introduced all these Makai Knights if they're going to wait to show them anyway. The flashbacks that he didn't know why he was having them were interesting. Hopefully next episode we'll find out more about them.
We've got to hear the new dramatic scene music. It's OK. It sounds a bit like a budget version or a ripoff of the original theme though. They must have thought they'd stop using the original because it needed to have a different feel. But it'll do.
Rian we don't know a lot about. She's in the ending so presumably she is the replacement for Kaoru. Hopefully she'll get more development later and become someone the audience can relate to more. All we know about her now is that she wears civilian disguises.
The trouble so far is, there have been times that I've thought there's been nothing to seperate it from a Sunday morning toku show. It still has a bit of horror although it seems to be focusing less on the horror and violence and more on the sex and nudity.
Gai from Gokaiger as the blonde-haired guy is somewhat interesting. We've seen a bit more of him, although the trouble is with Ryuga as well we've essentially got two Reis. The only really serious one to balance it out is the glasses guy and he's hardly been in it.
Even the episode titles are just in a standard font[although it's hard to tell fonts with Japanese] as opposed to that more ''wild'' one they were in for the last two series. Nitpicking I know.
Well, hopefully this era will grow on me and it'll turn out to be good in the end. Like Pretty Cure used to do the same people for 2 years then change it and I thought that was good because there were more story opportunities but it didn't get stale. But then they stopped doing it and I've only seen some of the original and about 30-40 episodes of Heartcatch Precure so I don't really know much about it. In fact my favourite Shugo Chara could have probably carried on if they did a new story, although again not everyone would like it.
I'd better put a conclusion. Um, yeah, it was OK.
